Tom is a life-long builder, engineer, and contractor. He has held a General Engineering Contractors License for over 20 years, earned a degree in Construction Engineering from Montana State University, and developed an award-winning career managing large scale heavy civil construction projects. Tom is a life-long builder, engineer, and contractor. He has held a General Engineering Contractors License for over 20 years, earned a degree in Construction Engineering from Montana State University, and developed an award-winning career managing large scale heavy civil construction projects. In addition, he has built two custom homes and a working hay and cattle ranch. Now he concentrates on what he really enjoys: small scale sitework and outdoor construction.

Marty grew up on the family ranch north of Mt. Shasta and shares his dad's love of building. As the only son on a working ranch he was always building or fixing something. He excelled in shop classes, worked with the Conservation Corps on backcountry projects, and is an avid car and truck mechanic.
